Adding Space IDs - Time Saving Tip

December 15, 2024

Add space identifiers to every room can be a big job, here are some tips to speed up the process

Here’s how to apply labels to rooms in a DWG file:

  1. Create a list: Type out the names of all the rooms in a notepad.
  2. Import the list: Drag the list from the notepad into the DWG drawing.
  3. Adjust text size: Select the imported text and change the text height to the desired size (e.g., 12).
  4. Explode the text: If the text is imported as a single block, explode it to separate the individual room labels.
  5. Place the labels: Click on each label and position it in the appropriate room on the drawing. Consider placing labels based on room size.
